Prize Draw - Terms and Conditions
Chance to win back your ISA payments paid in cash - up to £20,000, (the “Prize Draw”).
Terms and conditions
1. Promoter
1.1 The Promoter of this offer is Scottish Friendly Assurance Society Limited, Galbraith House, 16 Blythswood Square, G2 4HJ (“Scottish Friendly”).
2. To be eligible you must:
2.1 Be a UK tax resident aged 18 years or over. You cannot enter if you are directly connected with the prize draw and employees of Scottish Friendly Assurance (the Promoter).
2.2 To enter the prize draw, you must make a Qualifying Investment in a Scottish Friendly My ISA or My Junior ISA, as described in Section 4 below, with a minimum lump sum investment into a new policy/pot from £50 for a My Junior ISA and £100 for a My ISA or a minimum regular monthly payment into a new policy/pot from £10 per month for a My Junior ISA or My ISA.
2.3 Entries must be made between 00:00, 6 April 2024 and 23.59, 5 April 2025, inclusive (“Prize Draw Period”).
2.4 The Prize Draw Period ends at 23.59 on the 5 April 2025 Any entries made after this, i.e., from 00:00 on 6 April 2025, will not qualify as the Prize Draw Period will have ended.
2.5 You will be allowed one entry into the prize draw regardless of how many Qualifying Investments you make during the Prize Draw Period.
2.6 Entry into the Prize Draw will constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Entry will be automatic when you make a Qualifying Investment. You can opt-out of the Prize Draw at any time, please see clause 2.8 if you do not wish to be entered.
2.7 Scottish Friendly reserves the right to cancel or amend the prize draw or the rules without notice during the Prize Draw Period. Any cancellation of or changes to the prize draw will be notified to you on the Scottish Friendly website.
2.8 If you do not wish to be entered into the Prize Draw, please contact us via [email protected] and request to be removed from the draw, after you have made a Qualifying Investment.
2.9 Scottish Friendly shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered from entry into the prize draw, acceptance of the prize, any defects, delays or inadequacies in the prize or the arrangements surrounding the prize, or from any event beyond the reasonable control of Scottish Friendly. Scottish Friendly shall not be liable in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise for any direct or indirect consequential loss suffered by an entrant in relation to participation in the prize draw. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall operate to exclude or restrict liability of Scottish Friendly from time to time for death or personal injury resulting from negligence.
2.10 By entering the prize draw, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. The decision of the Promoter will be final in all matters and no correspondences will be entered into.
2.11 The Promoter retains sole discretion to withhold prizes without liability if, in its view, a winner is ineligible, the entry is invalid, or a winner does not meet the necessary requirements as set out in these terms and conditions.
2.12 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries lost, damaged, or delayed, undelivered, nor any liability for technical errors or communication failures in networks and/or internet access.
3. The cash prizes:
3.1 There are three cash prize winners in total of up to £20,000 each. The prize will be paid by cheque payable to the winner. There are no alternatives to the cash prize and the prize is not transferable.
3.2 The prize will match the total Qualifying Investment invested by you during the Prize Draw Period. If multiple Qualifying Investments are made during the Prize Draw Period, the total of your Qualifying Investments will count as one entry and your prize will match the total of all of your Qualifying Investments (up to the maximum of £20,000).
3.3 The cash prize winners will be selected at random under independent supervision. All winners will be drawn after 30 April 2025 and will be notified via post before 31 May 2025. Payment of the prize money will be made within 30 days of the notification.
3.4 Prizes not claimed within 28 days of the prize winner being notified will be redrawn and awarded to a new winner.
4. Qualifying Investment
4.1 To enter you must at least invest the initial minimum investment for a new My ISA or My Junior ISA for the tax year 2024-2025 or actively open and invest the initial minimum investment for a new, separate policy/pot within your pre-existing My ISA or My Junior ISA for the tax year 2024-2025 through the Scottish Friendly website: scottishfriendly.co.uk or Scottish Friendly mobile app during the Prize Draw Period.
4.2 The aggregated contributions made to this new My ISA or My Junior ISA or a newly opened My ISA or My Junior ISA policy/pot for the tax year 2024-2025 within your pre-existing ISA at the tax year-end will constitute the amount you could potentially win in the tax year-end draw, if successful.
4.3 For existing customers adding a newly opened My ISA or My Junior ISA policy/pot only for the tax year 2024-2025, contributions made to any pre-existing My ISA or My Junior ISA for the tax year 2024-2025 will also be included in the amount you could potentially win in the tax year-end draw, if successful up to £20,000.
4.4 For the avoidance of doubt, any investments into the following products will not be a Qualifying Investment for the Prize Draw:
Investments into any ISAs or Junior ISA products not noted above including the My MoneyBuilder (ISA), My MoneyMaker (ISA), My Life (ISA), My Options (ISA), My Prosperity (ISA), My Smarter (ISA), My Style (ISA), My Sovereign (ISA) unless you actively open and invest the initial minimum investment for a new, separate policy/pot within your pre-existing My ISA or My Junior ISA for the tax year 2024-2025 through the Scottish Friendly website: scottishfriendly.co.uk or Scottish Friendly mobile app during the Prize Draw Period.
Investments made through a third-party advisor.
An ISA or Junior ISA transfer or re-registration from other providers.
Investments via non-ISA products including but not limited to the Scottish Bond or Child Bond.
Investments in a policy/pot opened in a tax earlier than 2024/25.
4.4 If you withdraw your Qualifying Investment (or part of your Qualifying Investment if you made multiple Qualifying Investments) from your Scottish Friendly ISA, within a 12-month calendar year period from the date of investment, Scottish Friendly reserves the right to reclaim the cash prize money.
5. Data Protection
5.1 Any personal information you submit to Scottish Friendly will be maintained in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
5.2 For details about how we use your information for the purpose of the prize draw, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
5.3 Winners’ details will be used for administration purposes of the prize draw only and publication of the competition winners, as detailed below.
The winner's name and county will be made available on the Scottish Friendly Assurance website, social media channels and on request by emailing [email protected] (results available by email for 4 weeks from the date of the prize draw). Winners consent to their name and county being disclosed on the website, social media channels and to other entrants on request.
