Scottish Friendly reflects on a year of community partnership and fundraising

Scottish Friendly is proud to look back on a year dedicated to supporting the local communities we serve and creating meaningful impact through partnerships, volunteering, and fundraising.

This year’s highlights include:

  • Launching a pioneering partnership with the Just Finance Foundation (JFF), delivering financial education and inclusion to primary schools – the first JFF programme dedicated to Scotland.

  • Continued commitment to supporting Action for Children, supporting a wellbeing programme for pupils in high schools across Glasgow.

  • Raising £14,800 for Action for Children, thanks to the incredible efforts of our colleagues.

  • Contributing over 16 volunteering hours across a range of charitable activities.

  • Hosting a Christmas Fun Day at our Glasgow office, raising additional funds for vital services.

Kevin Brown, PR and Communications Manager at Scottish Friendly, said:

“These initiatives reflect our continued commitment to making a positive difference in the communities where we live and work. It’s inspiring to see our colleagues coming together to support fundamental causes that make a real difference to children and young people. From financial education to wellbeing programmes and fundraising, 2025 was a year of collaboration and impact and we’re excited to build on this momentum throughout 2026.”

Sarah Wallace, Director at Just Finance Foundation, said:
“We’re thrilled to launch our new partnership with Scottish Friendly. Their generous support will allow us to reach more children across Scotland with quality financial education, and we’re proud to be among the inspiring charities they support in making a real difference to young people’s futures.”
